About Zeno of Citium
Founded Stoicism after being shipwrecked in Athens and discovering philosophy in a bookstore. The name comes from the Stoa Poikile or painted porch where he taught. His Republic proposed a cosmopolitan world citizen philosophy. Divided philosophy into logic, physics, and ethics. None of his original writings survive.
