Wrote De Rerum Natura, an epic poem explaining Epicurean atomism. The universe is atoms moving through void with no divine meddling. Death should not be feared since we are not present to experience it. Described a natural history of the world from chaos to order. His lost manuscript was rediscovered in 1417 and helped ignite Renaissance thought. Envisioned infinite worlds beyond our own.
